Joseph LeClair is a freelance photographer and UX designer based in North Adams, MA, with deep ties to New England and a rich history of creative exploration. Originally from Rhode Island, Joseph’s photography explores the intersection of nature, society, and the decay of industry in small towns, often contrasting digital and film photography techniques to tell his stories.

His journey as a photographer began with documenting abandoned structures and decommissioned industrial sites around the Scituate Reservoir in Rhode Island. Over time, his focus expanded to include the forgotten corners of Northern New England, especially Western Maine. In 2019, Joseph relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he immersed himself in the vibrant cycling culture of Northern California. Alongside his photography work, he gained hands-on experience in the bicycle industry, further shaping his perspective on community, design, and the urban landscape.

Now settled in North Adams, Joseph continues to draw inspiration from the themes of decay, preservation, and transformation, with a renewed focus on the evolving dynamics of small-town life and the rich cultural landscapes around him.
